PIERCE MEMORIAL METHODIST CHURCH SUNDAY SCHOOL

The organization of Sunday school in churches began in England in 1780 by Robert Raikes as a way of doing God’s work in society. He saw the lack of morals and manners in the underprivileged class of children, who at that time were a major labor force in England’s factories. His idea over 200 years ago became a world wide movement in churches that is carried on today in most denominations. Sometimes we do not understand the importance of an early introduction to Sunday School.

PIERCE MEMORIAL has Sunday school classes for all ages. We have a nursery available starting at 10 a.m. for both Sunday school hours and worship service.
