Whether attending for the first time or as a repeat visitor or member, you will find Pierce Memorial to be a welcoming church, glad to welcome you to worship with us.
Our worship services, held in the sanctuary, are traditional services, with a mix of hymns and contemporary praise music and a relaxed feel to the service. Our choir and our excellent pianist make our music a blessing to the church! Dress is casual so you can feel free to come as you are comfortable. Most people will be "dressy casual" or in jeans.
A nursery is available for small children, who will be in the worship service until after the Children's Sermon, then will proceed to the annex to the nursery room with our nursery worker. Please advise her of any special needs your child may have.
We have a weekly bulletin with the order of service and we have a large screen with song lyrics and scriptures. Hymnals and Bibles are available in the pews. A collection is taken but giving is not required, especially for visitors. Give as the Lord leads.
Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month as well as some special occasions and you do not have to be a member to participate. Anyone who desires a closer relationship and loves the Lord is invited to partake. Children are welcome as well.
Our parking lot is behind the sanctuary, plus there is some room to park on the street. Handicapped parking is in the parking lot near the annex and you can go through the garden and enter through the door in the breezeway where an elevator will take you up to the sanctuary level. Assistance in operating the elevator is available if needed. Bathrooms are available in the sanctuary basement area and also in the annex building.
The adult men's Sunday School class meets in the church basement and the Younger Couples Class meets in a room behind the sanctuary. All other classes meet in the annex. Sunday School is prior to worship at 10 am.
Except in month's when other special events are happening, we have a Third Sunday Potluck Fellowship Meal in the annex after worship. Feel free to come even if you did not bring food as there always is enough!
